Autumn’s assassination: The body count continues to rise

Authorities this morning reported that three victims were killed Sunday afternoon at Sheridan Park in the Little Italy neighborhood. Police sources believe the slaying was due yet again to the terrifying effects of the autumn season.

LAS staff attempts to save public education

Yesterday, March 8th, beginning at 9 am about 200 UIC faculty and students partook in the most sophisticated coalition to campaign against campus furloughs and budget cuts to education. ‘The UIC Joint Faculty Furlough and Public Education Day’ has a simple goal, get more funding for public education and engage in political action to achieve it.

Gallery 400: Art Work Magazine and The Free Store

The local UIC art gallery is taking an inspirational initiative to give back to UIC students and local artists alike. Gallery 400 (400 S. Peoria), located a block north of the Halsted Blue Line, is a non-profit art exhibition space designated for UIC and Illinois artists. For 27 years, Gallery 400 has been presenting exhibits to the public for free. Until March 6th, the gallery presents a variety of works by the art publication Art Work in collaboration with UIC’s first temporary Free Store.
